Brake Service Littleton

Over time, regular driving causes wear and tear on your vehicle's brakes, and proper maintenance is required to ensure their performance and reliability. From commuting to mountain trips, it's easy to rack up miles on your vehicle if you live in the Highlands Ranch and Littleton area.  Your braking system relies on various components (including brake pads/shoes, rotors/drums, calipers, brake fluid, and more) all working together seamlessly to provide effective and reliable stopping power.

Regular inspections and addressing issues promptly will help maintain the safety and reliability of your vehicle's braking system.

Our brake services focus on inspecting, maintaining, (and, when necessary) repairing these components to guarantee your vehicle's ability to stop quickly and safely. From brake pad replacements, brake fluid flushes, rotor replacements, and more, our services ensure that your brake system's components function smoothly and reliably so that you can stay safe on the road.

When do I need brake services?

Brake services are an essential part of regular vehicle maintenance. It's advised to inspect your brakes every time you get an oil change (every 3,000 to 5,000 miles per your vehicle's manual) to ensure proper brake pad thickness and braking function. If your brakes squeal, grind, or cause your car to shake, you need immediate brake servicing. Additionally, if you notice that your brake pedal feels "spongy" or that it takes longer for you to stop, you should schedule a brake service appointment as soon as possible.

 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Brake pads get worn down from being pressed onto the rotor to stop. The harder you press your brake pedal, the harder the brake pads are pressed onto the rotor to slow down your vehicle. Gentle braking can help prolong the life of your pads. As a note, if your brake pads need to be replaced more often than you think, this could indicate an issue with the caliper (the component that houses the pads and applies pressure to them). Sometimes, calipers have issues that cause the brake pads to press against the rotors even when you're not actively braking. Have additional questions? Give our shop a call at 303-761-6280 to discuss your vehicle and any necessary maintenance services.
To save on brake inspection expenses, you can take advantage of our complimentary brake system check during your regular oil change appointments. We recommend having your brakes inspected at least during each oil change. Our auto care shop is located at 9777 US Hwy 85 S Littleton, CO 80125.
